Columbia is a prestigious university, and no doubt it has a rather symbiotic role with elements in the US federal Government. Of course, it wouldn't be necessary for the Secy. of Defense to actually deny any funding - threatening would probably generate enough publicity to force ROTC onto the campus.<br><br>Such a move would be quite bold, given Columbia's relationship with former US President Eisenhower.
